WebAvanti is suitable to industrial applications in order to achieve the five general areas: replace low end Alpha hardware. It is a virtual machinethat determinism, responsiveness, user control, reliability and fail soft can emulate the legacy Digital (DEC), Compaqand HP Alpha operation; but what is the solution if you have aging hardware hardware. WebAvanti runs as a program on a Windows system. The emulated hardware interface provides access to both virtual and real hardware such as disk drives, CD drives, NICs, and serial ports. The OpenVMS and Tru64 systems running on Avanti are completely unaware they are being hosted on a Windows system.
