WebThe Tarawhai Track starts and ends at the Okataina Outdoor Education Centre located on Lake Ōkataina Road. It's a short and informative walk through the forest with various native trees such as rimu, pukatea and tawa. The trees are identified by nameplates. Good to combine with other trails in the area.
